Of course, your college experience will include more than libraries and classrooms. At UAF, you'll find a vibrant community involved in a variety of physical and recreational activities regardless of the season. From our 10-time NCAA championship coed rifle team, to intramural badminton, to world-class cross country skiing, students at UAF keep a healthy perspective on both physical and intellectual development.

Check out the student handbook (PDF) for information on student policies, community standards, residence life and everything else a student needs to know.

You'll want to strike a balance among classes, study, fun and friends. You may find you learn as much outside the classroom as in.

Students at UAF can also participate in a number of exchange programs and study abroad options.

Current UAF students receive a PolarExpress ID card which functions as your student ID, library card, residence hall key card and meal plan card. Polar Express can also be used for computer lab, copier and printer access.

The Student Health and Counseling Center provides students medical care, counseling and assistance with the student insurance plan.

The Transportation Services provides campus and parking lot shuttles, as well as a disabled persons shuttle and transportation services to faculty, staff, students and visitors affiliated with the university.
