University of Alaska Fairbanks
America's Arctic University

About UAF

The Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines opened in 1922, in 1935 became the University of Alaska, and started offering PhDs in 1959. It's still the only university in the state that awards doctoral degrees, and it's one of the few Land, Sea and Space Grant universities in the country.

UAF has great classes, great teachers and great experiences. It is, after all, in the Great Land. Is it for you?
